Prayer Points - Vol 28

Psalm 20:5 May we shout for joy over your victory and lift up our banners in the name of our God. May the Lord grant all your requests.

Let us take a moment to praise God for all that He has done in our lives.

Psalm 130:4 But with you there is forgiveness, so that we can, with reverence, serve you.

Let us ask God to forgive us our wrongs that we may stand before Him with clean hands and pure hearts. Let us ask Him to use us for His glory!

Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

Let us pray for His Word to go forth during this week of Vacation Bible School. Let us ask Him to use it to touch the hearts and minds of the adults and youth involved as well as all of the children attending each evening.

John 14:6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Let us pray for these children to follow The Way, to hear The Truth and to live a life with The Life in their hearts.

John 8:32 Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

Let us pray that as the Truth is shared during this week adults, Youth and children will be set free from any sin that so easily entangles.

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!

Let us pray for newness for all who will commit their lives to follow after Jesus.

2 Thessalonians 1:3 We ought always to thank God for you, brothers and sisters, and rightly so, because your faith is growing more and more, and the love all of you have for one another is increasing.

Let us pray that we can be of use to God as He matures new believers into healthy ‘Christ-followers”. Let us pray that we can effectively demonstrate love one for another to these new believers.

Matthew 11:25 At that time Jesus said, “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children.

Let us pray that we can learn of the deep and hidden things that God has revealed to these children.

Matthew 18:3 And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.

Let us pray for a softening of our hearts and a breaking of our will and ego that we may become child-like in our faith.

Matthew 18: 12 “If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off? 13 And if he finds it, truly I tell you, he is happier about that one sheep than about the ninety-nine that did not wander off. 14 In the same way your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should perish.

Let us pray for the wanders, the disruptive and the over-active children who will need an extra measure of the Father’s grace and patience poured out upon them through us. Let us asked to be filled that we may work out of the overflow of the grace and patience that He shows each of us.

Psalm 150 Praise the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens. Praise him for his acts of power; praise him for his surpassing greatness.

Let us even now thank God and praise Him for all that He has done, all that He is doing and all that He will do not only during VBS but throughout every day of our lives.

2 Kings 6:17 And Elisha prayed, “Open his eyes, Lord, so that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.

Let us ask God to place a hedge of protection around our campus.
