Matthew 26:2 “As you know, the Passover is two days away—and the Son of Man will be handed over to be crucified.”
Let us pray for this week. Holy Week, is a time when even those who do not believe in our Savior have His sacrifice and resurrection placed before their eyes and their minds by the world. Let us ask the Holy Spirit to use this time and us to draw people into a life-change, a commitment to Christ.
1 Corinthians 1:18 For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
Let us ask God to clear minds and mental blocks, to soften hearts and to open ears.
Genesis 14: 18 Then Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine. He was priest of God Most High, 19 and he blessed Abram,
Let us ask God to include us in this stream of history, from Melchizedek, through Moses and the prophets to Jesus and beyond even up to our time and into he future as written in the book of Revelation.
Revelation 19:7 Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready.
Let us ask God to help us prepare by forgiving us our sins.
Isaiah 61:10 I delight greatly in the Lord; my soul rejoices in my God. For he has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of his righteousness, as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.
Let us thank God for calling us out of the world and into His eternal kingdom.
1 Corinthians 5:8 Therefore let us keep the Festival, not with the old bread leavened with malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
Let us take a moment to reflect on the sacrifice, when Truth was nailed to the cross.
1 Corinthians 11:23 For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread, 24 and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, “This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me.”
Let us remember His broken body.
1 Corinthians 11:25 In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me.”
Let us remember the blood that He shed for our forgiveness.
2 Thessalonians 1:3 We ought always to thank God for you, brothers and sisters, and rightly so, because your faith is growing more and more, and the love all of you have for one another is increasing.
Let us thank God for each other, our church body and our pastors.
Ephesians 1:13 And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit,
Let us pray that His kingdom will come on Earth as it is in heaven, that this Easter, many will hear and believe and will be marked in Him with the seal.
James 2:8 If you really keep the royal law found in Scripture, “Love your neighbor as yourself,” you are doing right.
Let us ask God to fill us with His love for others to overflowing.
Zechariah 10:8 I will signal for them and gather them in. Surely I will redeem them; they will be as numerous as before.
Let us pray for a mighty harvest of souls for our King.
