Prayer Points - Vol 40

December 19, 2019

Psalm 150:1 Praise the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens.

Let us praise God for what He has done and what He is doing before we entreat Him to answer our prayers.

Matthew 1:20-21 But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.”

Let us ask God to grace us with the faith to do the difficult things and the things that we don’t understand.

Luke 17:6 He replied, “If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it will obey you.

Let us ask God to grace us with a tiny bit of true faith that we might grow it in our hearts and use it for His glory.

1 John 2:5 But if anyone obeys his word, love for God is truly made complete in them. This is how we know we are in him:

Let us ask God to help us be obedient children that we may be in Him.

John 17:24 “Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world.

Let us pray for eyes to see the glory of the Lord this Christmas Season.

Psalm 122:8 For the sake of my family and friends, I will say, “Peace be within you.”

Let us pray for the Spirit within us to enable us to be peace-makers this season among our families and our friends.

Lamentations 3:33 For he does not willingly bring affliction or grief to anyone.

Let us pray for those who are going through the first Christmas without…

2 Corinthians 1:3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.

Let us ask God to use His healing and comfort in our lives to touch others who suffer through us. Let us live for Him as overcomers.

Hebrews 13:2 Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it.

Let us pray for all of those that will enter churches this season, that they will hear God’s call to active membership and selfless involvement.

Isaiah 61:1 The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captive and release from darkness for the prisoners, 2 to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, 3 and provide for those who grieve in Zion—to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise  instead of a spirit of despair.

Let us pray that this Christmas the ‘Good News’ will go forth in power and might and touch lives, bring comfort and heal hearts and relationships.

Ephesians 4:15 Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ.

Let us pray for our pastors to boldly speak truth and share God’s grace and glory during our three Christmas Eve services.

Psalm 22:27 All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the Lord, and all the families of the nations will bow down before him,

Let us pray for those who serve the Lord throughout the world as ministers of the Gospel. Let us pray for their safety and provision.

1 John 4:19 We love because he first loved us.

Let us pray to be love and represent Him well.
