KIDS
CENTRAL KIDS
We are now offering Preschool Classes and Kids Church during the 8:30 service.
Kids classes are back at 10:00 on Sundays for all kids.
We are not offering Preschool Classes or Kids Church during the 11:30 service at this time but we are providing an activities bag for kids during the service that you can pick up in the lobby of the Education Building.
We have also made our kids lessons and other great resources available to you on our KIDS ONLINE page. Find videos, lessons, activity pages, sermon notes, and much more!
BIRTH-PRESCHOOL
In Central Preschool, it is our privilege to minister to your family and partner with you to give your preschoolers their first impression of their Heavenly Father.
We provide a safe, exciting environment with hope that your preschooler looks forward to coming to church, and you can feel at ease leaving your child in the care of our trained volunteers and staff while you worship or join a group.
Preschool Classes are offered at 8:30 & 10:00.
*We are not offering Preschool Classes at 11:30 at this time.
Volunteers provide loving care for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers. We use Gospel Project curriculum in our classrooms. Your preschooler will be taught a Bible story and a monthly memory verse in an interactive way as well as participate in a variety of activities and crafts to help them apply what they have learned. We seek to develop a good understanding of God and a core faith through three concepts: God made me, God loves me and Jesus wants to be my friend forever
SAFETY AND HEALTH
Safety and security are fundamental to our Central Preschool experience. We require all our volunteers to be screened and trained, and we maintain low teacher-to-child ratios to ensure safe care. At Central, we utilize an automated check-in system, and the doors to the preschool hallway are locked at all times with access granted only through the parents’ Guardian Receipts. Children must be picked up by an adult with a Guardian Receipt. Parents will be notified by text message in case of emergency. For health standards, children must be free from fever or symptoms of contagious disease for 24 hours. Let us know of any allergies or medical conditions your child may have.
KIDS EVENTS
ELEMENTARY
At Central, we love kids! Our goal is to assist you, the parent, in spiritually developing your child. This is done through engaging and Biblical teaching as well as building lasting friendships.
KIDS CENTRAL (K-4th)
At 10:00am Sunday mornings on the 2nd Floor.
Kids in Kindergarten-4th grade are split into grade-level small groups for Biblical teaching on their level. They also have activities (games and crafts) to reinforce the lesson being taught.
KIDS 56 (5th-6th)
At 10:00am Sunday morning on the 2nd floor.
Students in 5th & 6th grade will start together for a group activity and teaching time. For the last 15 to 20 minutes of class, they break into small groups to discuss the lesson and how they can apply it to their lives. Lessons are topical on things like family, trust, obedience, and God's love, to name a handful. There's also opportunity for social activities outside of class about every 6 to 8 weeks.
KIDS CHURCH (K-4th)
We are now offering Kids Church during the 8:30 service only. Kids will be dismissed from the service after worship and be escorted to the Kids Club room on the 2nd floor for music, videos and teaching designed just for them. You can pick up your kids from the 2nd floor after the service or if they are going to the class at 10:00 then our team will take them to their classroom.
*We are not offering Kids church during the 11:30 service at this time.
You can always watch our virtual Kids Worship video throughout the week on our KIDS ONLINE page. If your kids are going with you to the service they can pick up activity bags to take into the Worship Center during the service to help keep them engaged.
AWANA
Wednesday evenings. This semester is online only.
Awana provides opportunities for kids to put their trust in Jesus Christ and learn to faithfully follow Him through games, lessons and an emphasis on God's Word. It is led by parents and volunteers so it provides a great place for adults to encourage, teach and lead kids to be devoted disciples of Christ. Cost is $20 per child with a $50 maximum per family.
The spring semester of 2021 will be virtual with synchronous Zoom meetings on Wednesday evenings, but you may also participate in our asynchronous option using pre-recorded videos. Our goal is to return in-person in the fall 2021. At that time we will require at least one parent to volunteer and help this Awana program to be exciting and safe for all!

PARENT RESOURCES
The "What If" Game
Encouraging kids to talk about body safety and boundaries
Playing a game with this deck can help children to understand that they have the ability to problem solve, even sometimes on their own. When children feel confident and competent, it adds another level of protection as they go out into the world.

"Love Powered Parenting: Loving Your Kids the Way Jesus Loves You"
This book is a biblical guide to parenting. And by “biblical guide” we mean these pages are intended to take you on a journey through what the truth of God’s Word has to say about parenting. Find it HERE.
“The Gospel: God's Plan for Me” booklet
If your child is asking questions about salvation or considering baptism, we recommend that they work through this booklet with a parent or guardian. Lifeway’s “The Gospel: God's Plan for Me” is an excellent resource to help you navigate this important discussion. You can pick one up in the Preschool Lobby or after attending our Baptism Class.
