Prayer Points - Vol 5

Romans 8:32 He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?

Let us thank God for His gracious gifts, all of the blessings in our lives.

Where has God revealed Himself at work in your life this week?

Ephesians 1:17 I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.

Let us prayerfully ask God for greater wisdom and revelation that we may know Him better.

Ephesians 6:1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. 2 “Honor your father and mother”—which is the first commandment with a promise— 3 “so that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth.”

Let us pray for those in our church who are ministering to their elderly parents and being care-givers for the sick and weak. Let us pray for their rest and patience. Let us pray for them to grasp the enormity of the promise, that is may go well with them and that they may enjoy…

Isaiah 53:5 But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.

Jesus suffered for our spiritual healing, let us thank God for calling us into His kingdom and let us pray for those who have not yet responded to the call, especially our family members and extended family members, our friends and our neighbors.

Psalm 91:3 Surely, he will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence.

4 He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge;

his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart

5 You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day,

6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday.

Let us pray for those plagued by cancer, those struggling through treatments and those tensely awaiting diagnosis. Let us pray against this pestilence that strikes so many and ask God to save us and give us refuge.

Hebrews 13:4 Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral.

Let us pray for marriages. Let us apologize to God and to the world for how Christians have fallen into the traps of the world and dishonored marriages just like the rest of our society. Let us ask God to protect our marriages and to strengthen our commitments to our spouses and to the vows that we pledged before God and witnesses.

Psalm 5:11 But let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may rejoice in you.

Let us pray for supernatural protection for children in schools. Let us ask God to array His warring angels around schools and churches that those who love His name will be safe. Let us pray that this protection will be a witness to school administrators and teachers and all other students.

1 Peter 2:9 But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.

Let us pray for our Sunday services and the services throughout our city. Let us pray for those who work as police and fire fighters and medical personnel who cannot attend, let us ask God to fill their hearts with truth and revelation.

1 John 3:14 We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love each other. Anyone who does not love remains in death.

Let us pray for each other.
