Psalm 71:17 Since my youth, God, you have taught me, and to this day I declare your marvelous deeds.
Let us pray for the youth of our church, that God will grant them a special season of learning and understanding as we kick off Disciple Now tonight.
1 Timothy 6:11 But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness.
Let us pray for the adults who are participating this weekend, host homes, co-hosts, leaders and project leaders who will be interacting with our youth. Let us ask God to grace them with and extra measure of godliness.
3 John 1:2 Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well.
Let us pray for those with physical, emotional and spiritual needs, those suffering from cancer, those with lung issues, those seeking treatments for loss of sight and MS and so many things that impact their lives.
Let us take a time to pray for our leaders, at the federal, state and local level. Let us agree that we need God in our governments and back in our school.
Proverbs 9:10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.
Let us pray that they will be God-fearing and recognize that they are accountable to Him for each and every decision and act.
James 1:5 If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.
Let us pray that they be granted wisdom, knowledge and understanding.
Romans 10:14 How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?
Let us pray that they would be presented with the Good News of Christ Jesus and the example of a loving Christian witness in their lives.
Luke 11:9 “So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 10 For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.
Let us pray that they would recognize their own inadequacy and pray and seek the will of God. Let us pray for them to have ears to hear the truth, Jesus.
James 4:8 Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
Let us pray that they will heed their conscience, confess their sins and repent.
John 8:31 To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. 32 Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
Let us pray that they would value and regard the Ten Commandments and the teachings of Christ.
Proverbs 24:6 Surely you need guidance to wage war, and victory is won through many advisers.
Let us pray that they would be given godly counsel and that God-fearing advisors would be placed in their lives and on their staff.
2 Timothy 1:7 For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.
Let us pray that they would have the courage to resist manipulation, pressure and the fear of man. Let us pray for their holiness.
Philippians 2:3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves 4 not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.
Let us pray for each other and the needs that you have today. Where could God touch your life today to improve your tomorrow?
