Prayer Points - Vol 29

Psalm 96:4 For great is the Lord and most worthy of praise; he is to be feared above all gods.

Let us praise God by declaring His work in our lives because He is worthy!

Proverbs 9:10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

Let us ask God to grace us with a holy fear of His greatness and goodness. Let us pray against a casual attitude and familiarity and ask to be awed.

Acts 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

Let us pray for the power of the Holy Spirit to come upon us that we may be bold witnesses to all whom God places in our lives.

Hebrews 7:25 Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.

Let us ask Jesus to intercede on behalf of those with great physical needs within our families and our church and within our circles of influence.

John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

Let us pray for those with emotional needs asking God to fill them with His peace.

1 Tim 2: 3 This is good, and pleases God our Savior, 4 who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave himself as a ransom for all people.

Let us pray for those with spiritual need, especially those in our families.

Phil 3: 8 What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ 9 and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ—the righteousness that comes from God on the basis of faith. 10 I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, 11 and so, somehow, attaining to the resurrection from the dead.

Let us pray for God to open our hearts and minds with an awareness of who and what He wants to be in our lives. Let us ask Him for His vision and perspective.

Galatians 5:13 You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love.

Let us ask God to use us among His children to be His hands and feet, to love well.

Ephesians 2:17 He came and preached peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near.

Let us pray for our pastor and our Sunday services.

1 Corinthians 11:25 In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me.”

Let us pray for God to grace us with a newness and a freshness as we gather together to take the bread and the cup.

John 16:33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

Let us pray for peace in this world. Let us pray that all world leaders would come to the knowledge of Christ and be graced with a heart of compassion.

2 John 1:3 Grace, mercy and peace from God the Father and from Jesus Christ, the Father’s Son, will be with us in truth and love.

Let us ask God to stay close to us as we go throughout our week that we can be filled by His Spirit with grace, mercy and peace and that we may be dispensers of His truth and His love.

2 Timothy 2:21 Those who cleanse themselves from the latter will be instruments for special purposes, made holy, useful to the Master and prepared to do any good work.

Let us pray to be useful to Him!
