Prayer Points - Vol 39

John 8:12 When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

Let us ask the ‘light of the world’ to guide and direct our thoughts and prayers.

Psalm 130:4 But with you there is forgiveness, so that we can, with reverence, serve you.

Let us take a moment to ask for forgiveness of anything that might hamper our prayers.

Let us ask God to bring to mind anyone that we might need to forgive.

Let us ask God to make us holy as He is holy.

Hebrews 7:25 Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.

Let us pray for the salvation of our families, our neighbors and our friends, Let us ask God to draw all people to Himself that they may be saved.

James 1:12 Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.

Let us pray for those who feel overwhelmed by life and whatever situation they find themselves in. Let us ask God to let them know that they are blessed of God.

Let us ask God to fill us with love for all and to be vessels of His love for others.

As we worship together, let us ask God to take away sickness, to heal the unhealthy and to remove the plague of cancer from our society.

1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.

Let us ask God to allow us to be light to our families and friends as we gather together during this season. Let us ask for peace to reign on our gatherings.

2 Timothy 2:25 Opponents must be gently instructed, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth,

Let us ask God to direct our words and thoughts as we interact with those who do not believe. Let us pray that the true meaning of Christmas would touch their hearts and lives.

James 3:5 Likewise, the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark.

Let us pray that our words will be blessings and not curses. Let us ask God to empower us to have healing words for those that are hurting.

James 3:1 Not many of you should become teachers, my fellow believers, because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly.

Let us pray for those who teach, our ABF leaders and our pastor.

Luke 2: 9 An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. 11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. 12 This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”

Let us pray for the Light of the World to use this season, the celebrations that will take place and the gatherings of people to further His kingdom on Earth as it is in heaven.
