Prayer Points - Vol 22

1 Peter 1:18-19 For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.

Let us give thanks to the Lord, our God and King, for His sacrifice that we may stand upright before a Holy God.

Hebrews 5:7 During the days of Jesus’ life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with fervent cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission.

Let us pray for us to be able to submit to God’s good and perfect will for our lives as Jesus did in the garden, “My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.”

James 5:16 Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.

Let us take a moment to clear our slate, to confess our sins to God and ask for His promised forgiveness.

Revelation 8:4 The smoke of the incense, together with the prayers of God’s people, went up before God from the angel’s hand.

Let us thank God for hearing our prayers and petitions.

Romans 8:26 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.

Let us take a moment to pray for the unspoken prayer needs in our families, our church and our city. Let us ask God to be active in the lives of others and ourselves to meet them at their need whether that is physical, emotional, financial or spiritual.

Colossians 2:19 They have lost connection with the head, from whom the whole body, supported and held together by its ligaments and sinews, grows as God causes it to grow.

Let us pray for those who have wandered from and those who have never known an eternity-changing relationship with Jesus Christ, in our families, our circles of influence, our city, our nation and the world.

1 Peter 3:14 But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. “Do not fear their threats; do not be frightened.”

Let us pray for the persecuted church, those that suffer throughout the world.

Hebrews 12:14 Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord.

Let us ask God to grace us with a hunger to pursue holiness in every area of our lives.

Matthew 5:14 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.

Let us ask God to use us for His glory, that He would shine His light through us that we may join Him in the work of eternal value that He is doing.

3 John 1:5 Dear friend, you are faithful in what you are doing for the brothers and sisters, even though they are strangers to you.

Let us pray that Central will have global impact for the kingdom.

Revelation 2:19 I know your deeds, your love and faith, your service and perseverance, and that you are now doing more than you did at first.

Let us ask God to renew our hunger to serve Him, to increase our desire to tell of His wonders and His works. Let us ask Him to grace our church with a holy discontent to touch the world and to see His Name lifted high.

Psalm 12:7 You, Lord, will keep the needy safe and will protect us forever from the wicked,

Let us ask God to stay near to us this week and always.
