Prayer Points

On Wednesday nights at Central faithful prayer warriors gather to intercede for our church, community, mission partners and issues all over the world. (As a side note: all are welcome to join in at 6:30 on Wednesday evenings on the third floor of the Education Building to be part of this vital ministry)

Whether you are able to come or not we want the whole body of Central to be able to join in unity to pray for these things. That's why we are making them available here on a weekly basis. Let's join in prayer together and see how God will move in powerful ways!

Psalm 119:7 I will praise you with an upright heart as I learn your righteous laws.

Let us pray for God to cleanse us of our shortfalls as we prepare to enter His presence.

Hebrews 9:24 For Christ did not enter a sanctuary made with human hands that was only a copy of the true one; he entered heaven itself, now to appear for us in God’s presence.

Let us pray that as we gather tonight and lift up our needs and prayers, Jesus will place them in God’s presence

Philippians 4:19 And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.

Let us pray for each other’s needs, those shared and those that remain unspoken.

1 John 3:16 This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters.

Let us pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ, those in our church with physical needs, with emotional needs and with spiritual need.

John 21:16 Again Jesus said, “Simon son of John, do you love me?” He answered, “Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.” Jesus said, “Take care of my sheep.”

Let us pray for the care-givers, those who minister and take care of others. Let us ask God to b

less them and give them strength and to give them rest and restoration.

Hebrews 4:2 For we also have had the good news proclaimed to us, just as they did; but the message they heard was of no value to them, because they did not share the faith of those who obeyed.

Let us pray for the Youth Team in Kentucky, that their message would be heard. Let us pray for their safety and for their health.

3 John 1:4 I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.

Let us pray for the 99 children attending the Kanakuk Kamp here on campus every day this week. For their safety and for them to hear the Good News of Jesus Christ with their hearts and not just with their ears.

James 2: 14 What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? 15 Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. 16 If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? 17 In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.

Let us pray for the Mission Team headed to Rockport on Monday to help with the rebuilding resulting from Hurricane Harvey.

Matthew 4:24 News about him spread all over Syria, and people brought to him all who were ill with various diseases, those suffering severe pain, the demon-possessed, those having seizures, and the paralyzed; and he healed them.

Let us pray for those in our congregation and those in our families that are physically ill. Let us lift up those being treated for cancer. Let us pray for those who have chronic pain.

Philippians 4:4-9 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. ...

Let us give the glory to God for what He has done in our lives, for what He is doing in our lives and our church and our families and our city.

Hebrews 10:25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

Let us pray for our services this Sunday, that God would call all to come through the power of His Spirit. Let us pray for that Spirit to move in the hearts and minds of those who attend.
