1 Praise the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary;
praise him in his mighty heavens.
2 Praise him for his acts of power; praise him for his surpassing greatness.
3 Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet praise him with the harp and lyre,
4 praise him with timbrel and dancing, praise him with the strings and pipe,
5 praise him with the clash of cymbals, praise him with resounding cymbals.
6 Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord.
Let us praise God for who He is. Where has He revealed Himself at work to you this week? Where have you seen His hand move?
Deuteronomy 5:8b for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, 10 but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments.
Let us pray for our families, that God will bless our generations.
John 16:20 Very truly I tell you, you will weep and mourn while the world rejoices. You will grieve, but your grief will turn to joy.
Let us pray for those families that are suffering grief today whether it is because of sickness, divorce or the loss of a loved one.
Joel 2:25 “I will restore the years the locusts have devoured—
Let us pray for the strength to dedicate everything to the Lord. Our children and grandchildren, our finances, our marriages, our careers and our Christian walk knowing that He promises to make all things whole. He is a God of restoration.
2 Peter 1: 8 For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 But whoever does not have them is nearsighted and blind, forgetting that they have been cleansed from their past sins.
We are cleansed by the sacrifice of Christ Jesus and no longer bear the stigma of our sin. We are worthy of forgiveness and reconciliation and peace and joy because He is worthy. Our worthiness and identity come from Him. Let us pray for all of those who are struggling with worthiness.
Let us pray that they will walk in the fullness of their forgiveness, that they will have abundant life.
Proverbs 5:18 May your fountain be blessed, and may you rejoice in the wife of your youth.
Let us pray for marriages. As we continue in this series on marriage, we can expect attacks. Let us pray for all of the marriages in our congregation to take this month to pause, to not be rash or grow angry but to listen to the words of God concerning marriage be proclaimed in our services.
Amos 2:11 “I also raised up prophets from among your children and Nazirites from among your youths. Is this not true, people of Israel?” declares the Lord.
Let us pray for the next generation, especially those who are leaving home for the first time. Let us ask God to bless them and protect them and to shine His face upon them.
Colossians 1:28 He is the one we proclaim, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ.
Let us pray for our pastor and the leaders of the other congregations in our area and throughout the world.
1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.
Let us pray for one another. Let us pray for our needs, both spoken and unspoken. Let us pray that His light will be able to shine through us and guide and direct a lost and dying world to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
